See all reviewsThis was my first-ever bike fitting in over 35 years of cycling, which honestly feels a little wild to say out loud. Every bike I’ve ever bought from a shop was basically, “Here’s your bike—have fun.” I remember hearing that some shops used to talk about fitting, but after seeing how involved this process really is, I completely understand why that was never a free add-on. Bill started by taking detailed measurements of my body—seat height, reach, cleat position, the whole deal. What really impressed me was that he didn’t stop there. He also watched my mobility and core strength and gave me specific recommendations on what I could work on to improve both. That alone was eye-opening. After about the first hour of measuring, I got on the bike and Bill immediately said, “That’s your problem.” I had come in complaining about lower back pain, and it turns out my saddle was over 25 mm too high. Either I’ve been shrinking with age (very possible), or I’ve been riding with my seat too high my entire life. Probably a little of both. The saddle process was another huge win. Buying saddles at a bike shop has always felt awkward—staring at a wall of seats, sitting on them in the store, trying not to look suspicious. During the fitting, Bill set up a quick-change saddle system and laid out 12 different saddles. I hopped from one to the next, and within about 30 minutes we found a saddle that was night and day better than what I had been riding. There is no way I could have figured that out on my own. From there, we dialed in the handlebars and stem length and angle. Because everything was measurement-based, the process felt controlled, intentional, and appropriate—not guesswork. Overall, my first experience with a bike fitter was honestly amazing and something I should have done years ago. Bill and John made me feel welcome and comfortable the entire time. They documented all my measurements and saved them to my profile, which means the next time I buy a bike, the sizing process should be much quicker and easier. I give Bikefitr 5 stars without hesitation.
The Bike Fitr provided top level bike fitting for my Endurance Gravel and MTB bikes. They offered more than just a proper fit, but great recommendation for my physical limitations that also led to discomfort like core work, soft tissue recovery, and a suggested sports medicine doctor. Since the fit on each of my bikes I have followed up on these recommendations. Their comprehensive approach helped me compete in multiple endurance events this year, including the Leadville Trail 100. I’m certain John, Bill and team helped me achieve my goals this year. Thank you for the amazing support!
BikeFitr is excellent! John is pleasant, professional, and extraordinarily thorough! He helped me with a couple of issues that I didn't think were fixable. 5 stars!
