UPDATED REVIEW: I will have more to say in a few days but I wanted to go ahead and register my absolute satisfaction with Ed at eBike Shop. After purchasing an ebike through an online retailer, I received a unit that was defective. Through the hassle of working with misleading and contradictory responses from customer service, Ed has been invaluable with his encouragement, expertise, and accessibility. Although he has not been hired yet to fix this problem, he has been extremely generous with his time even while out of town via text. As the situation progresses, I anticipate that Ed will continue to play a pivotal role. This has meant a lot to me as I must deal with medical issues along with everything else. Having someone like Ed involved in the process has helped make matters much better. UPDATE: as indicated previously, I am now ready to finish this extended review. I simply cannot speak highly enough of Ed and the service that I have received during a very frustrating and time-consuming issue with a bike I ordered from another source. Ed spent numerous hours speaking with me, contacting company officials, etc. If it were not for his efforts, I am not sure that this matter would ever have been resolved satisfactory. This is my conclusion based on the nature of the company’s initial responses, which were less than encouraging. Ed was finally hired by the company to fix my bike but, in my opinion, what he was paid was not nearly fairly reflective of the service he provided for me that went beyond what you would expect even from a highly competent technician. He really showed concern for how this issue dragged on knowing that it was very frustrating due to a number of special circumstances. If you engage Ed, you will not be dissatisfied. While all this was going on, he kept in touch with me even when he was out of the state. Ed has a work ethic and an understanding of customer relations that you don’t find frequently.

I bought my Urtopia bike from Ed in August and just called him up to check out my flat tire. He was just as nice a guy as I remembered. He's professional in every respect and so patient with addressing my concerns. On top of fixing my tire he even checked out everything else about the bike ( if the chains needed oil, alignment of the wheels). I really wanted to pay him more for his trouble . I hope more people have the pleasure of doing business with him.

I came to Ed with a bike in mind and he answered my questions about whether it would be a good fit or not. He had the bike I wanted, in my preferred color, available quickly for a test ride in a convenient location and gave me clear instructions to check out the bike’s different features. Overall, Ed was very kind and knowledgeable and the process was stress free. Would definitely recommend!
